There are all kinds of festivals andc_e_le_b_r_a_ti_o_ns
around the world, which are held for different reasons. The _a_n_c_ie_n_t_ festivals were mainly held
at three times a year---the end of the cold _w_e_a_t_h_e_r, planting in spring and_h_a_rv_e_s_t in autumn.
Some festivals are held to honor the dead or satisfy and _p_le_a_s_e_ the ancestors in case(万一) they might_d_o__h_a_rm__, while other festivals are held to _h_o_n_o_r_ famous people or to the_g_o_d_s, such as Dragon Boat Festival and Columbus Day.
