一 教材分析: 本节课出自人民教育出版社出版的高中英语选修七第五单元, 第一课时, 新 课标中解释选修课程的目的是为了满足不同学生的就业选择、 升学深造以及个人 的兴趣和发展的需要。本节分两个部分内容,分别是热身和阅读。本单元的中心 话题是“出国旅游”,热身部分围绕这一主题展开。旨在通过热身,使学生在欣赏 世界各地景色以及了解世界名校的基础上同时也意识到会遇到的问题。 要求学生 学会表达和支持个人的意见和观点, 能用所学的有关出国旅游的词汇描述在国外 居住生活的情况.为阅读部分奠定基础。高中英语新课标在八级要求中明确规定 要让学生了解英语国家中主要大众转播媒体的情况, 而本课阅读课的体裁即为新 闻报道, 主要通过中国女孩谢蕾的在英国学习的故事让学生体会出国留学的困难 与快乐。 在阅读教学中要让学生学会新闻报道的特点,在以后的阅读理解中能发 现该体裁, 抓住新闻报道的特点, 快速找出关键字 Who, Where, When, Why, What, 从而掌握文章大意。练习 skimming,scanning 的阅读技巧。无论本单元的话题出 国旅游还是阅读素材新闻报道, 在考试中都会以写作或阅读的形式出现。所以对 学生来说学好本单元的内容是非常重要的。 二 学情分析: 选修课程分为两个系列。系列 I 的课程是在必修课程模块 1-5 的基础上顺序 开设的课程, 共有 6 个模块(即英语 6-英语 11), 学生完成模块英语 6-英语 8 的学 习,可以达到八级目标要求。 课标规定在学完必修课本后学生在“说”的方面应达到以下要求:1,能在日 常交际中对一般的询问和要求做出恰当的反应;,2.能根据熟悉的话题,稍做准 备后,有条理地做简短的发言;3.能就一般性话题进行讨论;4.能根据话题要 求与人交流、合作,共同完成任务;5.能用恰当的语调和节奏表达意图。我所 教的高二三班学生基础稍好, 能够对一般的询问和要求作出恰当反应。但是语言 组织能力不佳,性格内向。对我所提出的话题有的不会说,有的不敢说。所以在 热身部分我设计大概了解世界各地著名景点以及世界名校的环节会激发学生想 要说话的热情。那么这时就是学习语言的最佳时机。鼓励学生只要想说就不怕说 错。然后针对学生的错误当堂进行修改,强化学生记忆。二,“读”的要求如下: 1,能读懂供高中学生阅读的英文原著简写本及英语报刊。2.能理解文章主旨和 作者意图;3.能通过上下文客队生词苦难,理解语篇意义;4.能通过文章中的 线索进行推理;很明显,我的学生并不能完全达到这样的要求。经过必修课本中 阅读课的训练, 学生在我的指导下可以对我设计的问题进行回答。可是阅读速度 较慢。 也就是说学生并没有熟练地掌握阅读技巧。而且在生词的猜测方面能力欠 佳。根据学生的这些情况 在阅读环节的讲解中注重练习阅读技巧。

教学目标 1.语言知识目标: (1) 学生能够正确读写及运用以下单词: lecture, recommend, preparation, comfort, academic, requirement, acknowledge, occupy,contradict,substitute (2) 学生掌握下列词组的意思并能在句子中熟练运用: keep it up,fit in,get/be used to,as far as one is concerned,be occupied with

2. 过程与方法 (1) 通过热身环节,学会与旅行相关的词汇,句型。能够描述自己的旅行经 历或者想去的旅游景点。 (2) 通过阅读环节,让学生学会对段落的概括能力,猜词能力。 (3) 学会表达和支持个人观点,能用所学的有关 travelling abroad 的词汇描述 在国外居住生活或者学习的情况。 3. 情感态度与文化意识目标: (1) 通过世界各地著名景点,大学的图片激发学生的学习动力,并将这种动 力融入到自己平时的学习中去。 (2) 通过阅读环节了解到在国外学习的困难,培养学生坚强的意志,坚定克 服困难,迎接挑战的决心。 四 教学重、难点 重点: 1,学习与旅行相关的词汇,句型。 2,skimming ,scanning 阅读技巧的使用 难点: 1,培养学生组织语言的能力,能正确的表达以及支撑自己的观点。 2,通过上下文猜测词义的能力。 3,使学生了解在国外旅行或学习时可能会遇到的一些问题,并学会怎样去解决 问题和避免这样问题的发生 五 教学方法:

1. 任务型教学法 本课选择任务型教学,如要求学生课前预习阅读文章,课堂进行小组讨论,填写 信息表及概括段落大意等,培养和强化学生的语言实践能力和自主学习能力。 2.多媒体辅助教学法

利用多媒体展示相关图片及播放影片,激发学生学习兴趣,提高课堂教学效率。 六 教学过程

Step 1 Warming up Show the beautiful scenery of other countries to attract students' attention, including Taj Mahal,the pyramids of Egypt,London Bridge,Sydney Opera House, Eiffel Tower,Statue of Liberty,Stonehenge,New Zealand,South America,etc.

Questions: 1.Are you eager to travel abroad to enjoy the beautiful scenery by yourself? 2.If you could go anywhere in the world,which country would you like to visit and why? then I could learn English well. 3.Do you have any unforgettable travelling experiences? Share them to us. 4.where do you want to travel ? 设计意图: 课堂以欣赏国外优美的风光以及著名大学开始,在给学生以极 大的视觉享受的同时,激起他们对于出国旅行,学习的向往,至于最想去的国家 或地方更能让他们有话可说。 接着就自然地把话题引到出国旅行的好处和可能遇 到的问题方面。 Step 2 Fast reading

learning how to write essays acceptable to her British lecturer. 4.Xie Lei's host family and her teachers. 设计意图: 通过文章题目和对关键字的把握,让学生了解文章的主旨大意。 突破教学重点。 前两题是针对课文内容设计的理解题目, 第三题紧扣 Pre-reading 的第二题, 而且采用了解决问题(Problem-solving)任务型活动,有助于学生探究 能力的培养。 Step 3 Detailed reading 1.Summarize the main idea of each paragraph Para 1: Xie Lei,a Chinese girl,is studying in a foreig n city—London. Para 2:General introduction to Xie Lei and her study. Para 3:The difficulties Xie Lei met while living in London. Para 4:The advantages that Xie Lei gained while living with a host family. Para 5:Xie Lei is getting used to a Western university's way of learning. Para 6:Xie Lei is now getting along well and is living an active life. Para 7:The newspaper will follow Xie Lei's progress in later editions. 2.Find out the details about benefits she got and the difficulties she met in London .
